KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Missouri family struck with a rare blood disease is holding a fundraising event to help raise money for research they say could save their lives.

Sean, Patrick, Danny and Timmy Murry each suffer from Diamon-Blackfan Anemia, a condition that causes the body to produce too much iron. The four brothers each need bone marrow transplants, and are asking the public for help.

The family lives in St. Louis, but has family here in the metro area.

There will be a bone marrow drive tonight at the Gallup Map Company, near 17th and Main in the Crossroads District as part of the monthly First Fridays festivities.
