KCK ‘Disturbance’ Ends Peacefully
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — One man is in custody after he allegedly took a pregnant woman hostage in Kansas City, Kan., Friday morning.
Police surrounded a home in the 1200 block of N. 14th Street in Kansas City, Kan., after a man reportedly dragged the woman inside. The incident was first reported as a standoff, however police later said the incident was merely a ‘disturbance.’
The disturbance began around 5 a.m. Friday. By 10 a.m. the man walked outside and surrendered to police peacefully. When police entered the home, no weapons were found and the woman appeared to be fine. Although it was thought two young children could also be in the home, they were not.
Police continue to investigate.
