RAYTOWN, Mo. -- The Metro Squad is investigating the murder of a man Sunday morning, who was out for a morning jog when he was gunned down in in what appears to be a random drive-by shooting.
It happened at about 7:20 a.m. at 67th and Blue Ridge Blvd. The victim is identified as Harry Stone, 60, who lived not far from the shooting.
Several people witnessed Stone's murder. They told police a dark-colored car driving north on 67th Street passed Stone as he was jogging, and without slowing down, opened fire on him.
Police released a picture of a car Monday afternoon, which was taken from surveillance video in the area.
Investigators want to locate the dark-colored, four-door car that was in the area at the time. They believe two men were inside.
Stone's daughter spoke to the media Monday afternoon.
"Do the right thing," Susan Li pleaded to those who may know something about the crime.
Li said her father is very active, jogging nearly everyday by himself or with his dog. He's also active in the church. He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
