KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Many teens and young adults struggle with big problems: eating disorders, trauma, abuse, depression. We spoke with Kirsten Haglund and Dr. Margaret Nagib about a free event in the metro that will educate the people who try to help them deal with those challenges.
Strategies for Hope: Understanding Substance Abuse, Depression, Self-harm and Eating Disorders in Today's Youth will be held Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at Westside Family Church, located at 8500 Woodsonia Drive in Lenexa, Kan.
