BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — Bonner Springs Police are asking for the public’s assistance after two children playing in a city park reported seeing an abduction on Friday evening.

According to police, two 10-year-old boys playing in Lion’s Park near Morse and Lakewood Streets in Bonner Springs between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. told authorities that they say a man drive up in a white van, grab a juvenile and put him in the van.

The juvenile was described as a white male, about 4′ tall with blond hair and a “Justin Bieber haircut.” The man was a white male, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.

The boys told police the juvenile did not struggle, but that the man put his hand over the child’s mouth. The boys told police the van had windows.

Police say they have received no reports of a missing child, so they aren’t sure what the two boys saw. It might have been an abduction, or it might have been a parent disciplining a child.

If you have any information about this case, please call the Bonner Springs Police Department at (913) 596-3000.
