Employee on Break Hit By a Tow Truck

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man on break from his job at Research Medical Center was hit Monday morning by a tow truck that police say jumped the curb and struck him.

It happened at about 11:00 a.m. near Meyer Blvd. and Prospect Ave.

Police say the tow truck driver was coming down Prospect Ave. when the driver jumped a curb, hit a power pole and a tree before striking the pedestrian.

The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not released what, if any charges the driver may face.
