SWEATWATER, Tenn. -- Like to play in the mud? Then you'll love the Redneck Resort Mud Park. It recently opened in Sweetwater, Tennessee.
"We got mud, we got dirt. We've got everything," said one mudding enthusiast. "We've got four-wheelers, ATVs. People having a good ole time."
The Redneck Resort includes several campgrounds, mud pits for your off-road vehicles, a mud swimming hole and even a hillbilly playground. The venue stands out as a unique opportunity for adventure tourism.
"There's really no place to have a social gathering like this and have fun with all those kind of vehicles," said Joleen Darragh Redneck Resort co-owner. "We know people around here love to do that kind of thing so we wanted to provide a venue for that to happen."
Besides mudding with vehicles, there's also a 240 foot slip 'n slide, complete with a "mud girl."
"I am a mud girl," said Chloe Darragh. "I go around and get people to come to the swimming hole, and just to stir up the fun."
The resort plans to be open just eight times a year a weekend at a time.
