KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It's been nearly 48 hours since anyone has seen a Kansas City mom and her three young kids including an 8-year-old child who is autistic. Her husband and others family members are worried sick.
Police are searching for a white Mercury Villager with Missouri license plate number UG6-T3P. Odessa Blocker told her husband she was taking their three kids to a McDonald's near 125th & Blue Ridge around 7:30 on Monday night.
It's uncertain at this time if the family ever made it. Police are reviewing surveillance video to find out, but it's definitely known that the family didn't make it home.
"Did they roll into a ditch, did somebody take them?" said Chris Blocker. "I don't know what happened."
Chris Blocker says when he first called 911 about his wife and kids, police didn't seem very concerned.
"When I asked them when they were out here yesterday or do you need pictures, they were like no we don't need them yet ," Blocker said.
His wife Odessa Blocker is 37-years-old. His daughter Jessica is 8, Jennifer is 6 and Jacob is five-years-old. They often went to the restaurant for dessert and to play. On Monday night, they never came home. Blocker admits the couple was talking divorce but he insists his wife wouldn't simply disappear on her own.
"Even if she had just left, she would let us know the kids are safe," he said. "She's not irresponsible in that fashion."
Odessa's sister Oleda Cooke agrees with her brother-in-law. She said even if her sister wanted out of her marriage she wouldn't disappear with the kids and not tell anyone. Her parents say if she did leave on her own, they hope she calls family to say she's safe because no one in the family has slept for two days.
The family tells FOX 4 the police have tried to trace Odessa's phone with no luck. They're checking bank records for activity and calling hospitals and shelters. So far, nothing has come up.
