Police: I-29 at 56th Street Open but Investigation Ongoing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Mo. police continued to investigate a possible pipe bomb inside a car at I-29 and 56th Street Tuesday afternoon.

After initially shutting down the northbound lanes to protect drivers from possible explosives, the highway has since reopened and only the exit ramp at 56th Street is closed.
