Baby with Cocaine in Her System, Found Upside Down in Carseat
STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Central Virginia mother is being held without bond after her infant child was found upside down in a car seat and all alone inside a motel room.
According to Fredricksburg.com, investigators also later discovered that the 7 to 8 month old baby girl tested positive for cocaine.
Motel workers called police at about 11 p.m. after hearing the constant cries of the baby.
Deputies were canvassing the area for about an hour, looking for a parent or guardian, when the child’s mother, 34-year-old Christine Faye Clark, came running across the parking lot, police said.
Clark was charged with Felony Child Abuse, Felony Child Endangerment and Misdemeanor Obstruction of Justice.
