Police Believe Shotgun was Used in Calif. School Shooting

TAFT, Calif. — Two people were injured in a shooting at a high school in Taft, Calif.

According to Huffington Post, the suspected shooter is in custody. One shooting victim suffered minor injuries and refused treatment. The second shooting victims’ injuries are unknown at this time.

The suspect is believed to be a student, according to the Associated Press. Police believe the weapon used was a shotgun.

The shooting happened around 9 a.m. The suspect was taken into custody and students were evacuated to the football field. Parents were notified and asked to pick up their children.
