OLATHE, Kan. -- People are arming themselves against the misery of the flu. Vaccine is still available in the metro although it may take some searching.

On Monday, CVS said it has a limited supply of vaccine at some of its metro MinuteClinics, but it expects that will be gone in two days. To check availability, call 866-389-2727. A spokesperson says you will need to speak with an operator to get the latest information.

Walgreens said select locations may be experiencing shortages, and that you should call your nearest location to confirm availability. In a statement, a spokesperson said Walgreens is "continually working and able to distribute vaccine to stores that may be impacted in a timely manner."

Olathe Health System still had 2,500 doses available through its pharmacies, clinics and hospitals.

FOX 4 Medical Reporter Meryl Lin McKean talked with a pharmacist there about how they're shifting vaccine to meet demand at some locations.
