Police Give All-Clear After Suspicious Package Found in Midtown

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City have given the all-clear after investigating a suspicious device found in near a Midtown building on Thursday afternoon.

Police say that the suspicious package was found in a property in the 300 block of East 36th Street around 4:00 p.m. According to authorities, the person who found the package described it as a box with what appears to be a couple of hand grenades inside.

Police say that the grenades were “inert” and were not a danger, and that there was no threat associated with the items.
