KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It's just one thing in a string of bad luck for Willow Woods Daycare in Westport. First, the daycare was closed for two weeks in December 2011 due to a massive fire at the Westport Presbyterian Church. Then this summer, thieves stole copper wiring from the air conditioning unit. And most recently thieves struck again, stealing cooper wire from the power box outside.

The result left the daycare without power and forced them to close their doors on Thursday. About 45 kids were turned away and parents were forced to make other arrangements for their children.
