Kids Run for Help When They Feel Man is Following Them
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Clay County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of stranger danger after students reported a man following them Monday morning before school.
North Kansas City Schools spokeswoman Mary Jo Burton said it happened in the area of 43rd and North Virginia in Kansas City, Mo. The kids told investigators that when they noticed a man following them, they ran to a house and knocked, but no one answered. So, they ran to the school and reported what happened.
The kids described the suspect as a white man, about 20 years old. He was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. The kids thought he might have had a beard or mask covering the lower half of his face.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department plans to provide extra patrols in the area.
