KCMO bus service delayed, other routes canceled Tuesday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Based on current weather predictions for early morning travel, and in support of KCMO’s declared state of emergency, the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (ATA) is announcing that it will DELAY Metro and MAX service on Tuesday, Feb. 26 until 7 a.m.
The following routes will not operate:
- 15X Truman Road Express
- 28XX Blue Ridge Express
- 37XX N. Broadway Express
- 38X Meadowbrook Express
- 51X Ward Parkway Express
- 69X Liberty Express
- 471X Red Bridge Express
- 170 Blue Springs Express
- 152 Lee’s Summit/Raytown Express
“Safety is our first priority,” said Mark Huffer, KCATA general manager. “With the worst part of the snow accumulation expected to occur in the overnight hours, delaying service is the responsible action at this point in time.”
On Tuesday, customers should check current information before traveling. A suspension of service will be a last resort.
Earlier in the day, Johnson County Transit and Unified Government Transit announced they would not operate at all on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Inde-Bus in Independence will also have a delay in service on Tuesday.
