Tips to temporarily unplug from technology

Burton Kelso from Integral Computer Consultants shares ways to cleanse yourself from technology clutter in honor of National Unplug Day, scheduled for March 1-2.

Tip #1 Automate your social media. Tools like HootSuite and TweetDeck allow you to monitor all of your social media sites and you can schedule your post to go out when you want them to.

Tip #2 Use your smart phones. VoiceCommands iPhones and Android phones have the ability to use voice dictation. Voice dictation makes it easier for you to send out text messages and respond to emails.

Tip #3 automate your email. Microsoft Office 2010 for Windows-based computers has the ability to schedule your emails. If you're a Google user there is boomerang which allows you to schedule your Gmail messages.
