Small plane slides off runway at JoCo airport

OLATHE, Kan. — A small plane slid off the runway at the Johnson County Executive Airport Thursday afternoon.

Airport officials say a Piper Malibu 6-seat single engine plane went off the runway just around 3:35 p.m.

Emergency crews said two people were outside the plane and walking around after the incident. No one was hurt, the fire department said.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
