Girl abducted from California home found barefoot, in shock
LOS ANGELES — The search for two suspects continues after a 10-year-old girl was abducted from her home in Los Angles on Wednesday and later found safe — although in shock.
According to the Associated Press, the girls parents reported her missing just before 4 a.m. on Wednesday. Some 11 hours later someone recognized her from media reports and told police she was outside a Starbucks. Police arrived and found her barefoot and wearing an oversized white T-shirt. Her parents said she went to bed wearing a black shirt with characters from the TV show “Heroes” on it. Police determined the girl was in shock.
Investigators said the girl was first dropped off at a hospital a few blocks from the Starbucks where she was found. She’s believed to have wandered to the coffee shop on her own.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the home, but a gate that is normally closed was left open.
Police said one of the suspects is about 18 years old. No other suspect information has been released at this time.
