Stockton Lake claims second fatality for the year

GREASER CREEK, Mo. -- A young man who was trying to take advantage of the nice weather, died Saturday afternoon in a drowning accident.

Stanley Kleeman, 20, of Golden City, Mo., was trying to untie a canoe from a tree in Stockton Lake when it capsized.

There was another person in the canoe with Kleeman, who was able to swim ashore when the boat flipped.  However, the man never resurfaced.

First responders found his body 20 yards from the shore.  Kleeman was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was the second drowning fatality on Stockton Lake this year.
