Shelter opens for pets and families looking for one

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- Great Plains SPCA opened its doors to a brand new animal shelter in Independence on Saturday, and already it is at full capacity.

On Monday, they moved 135 animals from the former city shelter and this weekend, they are offering deals on adoptions.
