St. Louis high school teacher accused of having sex with male student
ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis high school teacher has been accused of having sex with a male student and has been charged with 11 counts of sexual misconduct.
According to KTVI, David Marler, 32, teaches at Soldan High School on Union Boulevard in St. Louis. Marler is suspected of having oral and anal sex with a male student on April 21. A grand jury alleges that Marler provided the student with an inhalant that made the student light-headed and dizzy.
Marler has been charged with five counts of statutory sodomy, five counts of sexual contact with a student and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
A spokesperson for the St. Louis Public School District said Marler has been placed on a leave of absence.
