Father, girlfriend beat 11-yr-old for eating ice cream, prosecutors say
CHICAGO — Forty-one-year-old Pierre Scarbrough and his 37-year-old girlfriend, Faith Alston, are in jail charged with aggravated battery of a child, after prosecutors say Scabrough beat his 11-year-old daughter for eating his ice cream.
Scarbrough and his beau had apparently planned for hours “how they were going to hit the girl with an electrical cord after she came home from school,” the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
The girl came home around 4 p.m. It wasn’t until hours later that Alston allegedly held the girl down while Scarbrough hit the girl with the cord.
Officers were called to the girl’s home after a school worker noticed her injuries the next day, the paper said.
“Yea, I beat that lil b—- a– with an ironing cord. She stole from me,” according to a police report the paper quoted.
Scarbrough and Alston remain in jail in lieu of a $200,000 bail, the paper said.
