KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City man is upset after discovering the temp tag, given to him by the used car lot where he bought his car, wasn't legal.

Customer Daniel Knighten learned the truth about the temporary license tag on the car he bought earlier this month after it was towed by police.

Kansas City, Kan., police said they towed the car because it had an illegal temporary tag. Knighten, who had to pay $250 in tow fees, was furious.

He said he immediately went to the car lot that gave him the temp tag, Kansas City Wholesale Motors on Truman Road, and asked for his money back.

When the man running the car lot refused, Knighten called Fox 4 Problem Solvers.
