KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Albert Minnis’ family and friends, along with representatives from the Houston Astros, gathered at Minnis’ father’s house in Kansas City Monday night to watch the 21-year old baseball star sign with the Houston Astros.

Minnis is a junior at Wichita State. He went to Park Hill his first two years of high school and then went to Lawrence High his last two years.

He was a scholarship player at Wichita State and is now off to Houston to be groomed in their minor league team.

Congratulations to Albert. Look for him in the lineup in the coming years.
