COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri’s first athletic season in the SEC was a difficult one, but the Tigers fared much better in the classroom.

The NCAA released its annual Academic Progress Rates (APR), showing that Mizzou led the SEC in four different sports. Football (982), men’s swimming and diving (993), women’s swimming and diving (1000), and gymnastics (1000) all posted SEC-best APR rates.

Additionally, six other Tiger sports ranked second in the league. Only Vanderbilt (8) had more APR leaders in their respective sports.

The APR was developed by the NCAA to measure academic performance of athletic programs at the collegiate level.

A perfect APR score is 1000.
