KANSAS CITY, Mo. —  After a long haul with the United States Men’s National Team, Sporting Kansas City players Matt Besler and Graham Zusi returned to Kansas City on Wednesday. They were a part of three USMNT World Cup qualifying victories over the last two weeks that have put the US in prime position to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Both Besler and Zusi started in the U.S. Team’s 1-0 win over Honduras Tuesday night in Salt Lake City.

“I think they’ve done well at their opportunities to play, they have proven that they can play at that level” Sporting Coach Peter Vermes said.

Both players did a little bit of training with Sporting KC Thursday. They will be available Saturday night when Sporting KC visits FC Dallas.
