KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Exactly one year to the day, a Kansas City woman learned several people who held her captive and attacked her have been charged. The woman, who was not identified, was reportedly beaten for hours by as many as 8 people.
The incident of alleged abuse happened at a now abandoned home on East 10th Street in Kansas City, Mo.
Nicole Strohm faces seven charges, including assault for hitting the woman with a wooden object with her fist and kicking her. Court records also say Strohm glued the woman's lips together.
Another woman, Michelle Lingle, is also facing more than a half-dozen charges. According to court documents, Lingle hit the victim, punching and kicking her repeatedly.
Two men and four teenagers were also at the home, court documents showed.
Anthony Pinion faces five charges, mostly for assault, but is also accused of making the victim eat a bug, documents showed.
Manly Gilbert faces one charge of felonious restraint. He told detectives he was at the home and watched the abuse but never touched the victim. He also claimed the women and Pinion loaded her into a car and left.
The woman was later found naked and bleeding in a Kansas City parking lot after flagging a car down for help.
It's unknown if the four teens will face charges. Court document show all denied touching the victim, but police say they witnessed some of the allegations.
Of the four charged on Monday, Pinion is in jail on an unrelated forgery conviction. Gilbert was arrested on Tuesday, but police say the others still have warrants out for their arrest.
