KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Trash left behind from Independence Day celebrations may take up to a week to clean up, according to the city.

Along Cliff Drive, there's quite a mess.

City crews says it takes four to six hours to clean one area.

"A lot of work," said DeRowan Spears, a city worker who spent his July 5th cleaning up fireworks debris. "Hand raking it out, paper picks, most of the stuff is hand manual."
