Deputies arrest two after discovering marijuana in vehicle

PLATTE CITY, Mo. – Two men are in police custody after Platte County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered narcotics in a vehicle they were driving.

Eric Grimes, 36, and Christopher Dickman, 27,both of Kansas City, Mo., were stopped for a traffic violation near Kansas City International Airport. Authorities discovered 11 pounds of marijuana and a small amount of suspected hasish after a drug dog gave an alert and a  consent search was executed.

Both are being held at the Platte County Detention Center on $25,000 bond, they have been charged with class B felonies. The drugs recovered have a reported street value of $35,000.
