KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a home Wednesday morning in the 1000 block of Quindaro in Kansas City, Kan.
Firefighters said it was a very fast-moving fire and crews were concerned the fire would spread to neighboring homes. Four pumpers and two trucks helped put out the blaze.
No one was inside at the time of the fire, however neighbors were concerned for a woman living in one of the neighboring houses.
"I was down there talking to a friend of mine and she noticed the smoke, and I was like, smoke? Somebody lives in that house! So I ran down here and started beating on the door," one man said.
He and another neighbor helped escort the woman to safety.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
