It’s time to tell your best friend they won’t be alone anymore while you’re away at work or wherever else you may go.

Beginning on Aug. 1, DogTV will launch nationwide on DirecTV, devoted solely to canines. It originally began as a service only in southern California.

DogTV will cost $4.99 a month and offers three types of programming: “relaxation,” “stimulation,” and “exposure.”

If you’re still not sold that your pups need their own programming, DogTV is giving away the first 30 days of the channel for free.
