13-year-old honorary CoverGirl passes away
Talia Castellano, a 13-year-old honorary CoverGirl, who produced YouTube makeup tutorials while battling neuroblastoma, passed away on Tuesday, according to a Tweet from Ellen DeGeneres.
This year I met a very special girl, and today we lost her. Sending my heart to Talia’s family. I’m so sad.

Castellano fought her cancer for six years. She became the makeup company’s first honorary CoverGirl on Sept. 12, 2012 when DeGeneres invited Castellano on her talk show.
CoverGirl Vice President Esi Eggleston Bracey released this statement about Talia after her passing, according to E! Online:
“We are honored to have known Talia and grateful for all the ways she showed us what true beauty means. She inspired millions with her strength, personality and talent. Talia has touched our CoverGirl family forever, and we’re thankful to have been a part of her life.
“Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.”
Castellano’s YouTube tutorials received millions of views. She had more than 750,000 YouTube subscribers on her account.
