KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Six juveniles were arrested for vandalizing Hickman Mills School recently.

Ebony Walker with the Hickman Mills School District said there have been a total of five incidents — two break ins at Truman on July 17 and 18 and three break ins at Dobbs on July 17, 18 and 19.

A number of undisclosed items were taken from the schools, but inventory of the items and damage assessments are still being conducted. Surveillance video recorded some of the activity, however police nor school officials have released it due to the age of the suspects.

Walker said while they have surveillance video of the suspects, it was an officer who caught some of the juveniles inside one of the schools, which ultimately led to their arrests.
