Record holder for ‘shoe-related items’ found dead
MENIFEE, Calif. — A southern California woman who held the Guinness World Record for collecting items shoe-related has been found dead in her pool at her Menifee, Calif., home, the Associated Press reported.
Darlene Flynn, 58, had suffered blunt-force injuries on Monday, according to the AP. When sheriff’s deputies arrived, they saw a man run from the property.
Officials were originally called to the home after a report of an argument.
Her former boyfriend, Justin Smith, 29, was arrested later and remained in jail on Wednesday.
Flynn had more than 15,000 shoe-related items, according to The Guinness Book of World Records.
