Being a pre-teen is tough. From dealing with self-image to handling those annoying boys, tweens today face a number of pressures and obstacles.
Two local sisters, Mia and Rachel Hamaker, are helping to make those painful tween years a little easier for girls across the country. They were a part of the inaugural Discovery Girls Tween Summit. Out of more than 8,000 applicants, Mia and Rachel, were two of 36 girls selected for the summit.
During the week-long event, the girls talked about how social media technology play a role in tweens' lives, and how to standup against bullying, amongst many other topics.
