Woman with terminal cancer has wedding of her dreams
SAN JOSE, Calif. — A 35-year-old terminally ill woman got the wedding of her dreams over the weekend in San Jose, Calif. Jen Bulik and Jeff Lang, her boyfriend of six years, tied the knot in a park surrounded by friends, family — and the wedding services were all donated.
About 125 guests attended the ceremony and Bulik kept her guests guessing with several wig and outfit changes.
Bulik was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in December. Despite aggressive treatment, the cancer spread to other areas of her body and she was told by doctors in June that she likely had six months to live. Lang proposed in early July.
A wedding wish fund was launched online to cover wedding expenses and the couple’s honeymoon to Hawaii. They’ve currently raised more than $47,000.
One friend said Jen and Jeff are perfect together.
“I can’t picture Jeff without Jen, and I can’t picture Jen without Jeff. They are one,” Kristen Chappelle said.
