Soccer excitement mounts as All-Star game prepares to kick off

After months of anticipation, the Major League Soccer All-Star Game will be played Wednesday night as the MLS squad takes on Italian powerhouse AS Roma at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan.

The game is sold out, but you don't have a ticket, you can still watch it with other soccer fans at free watch parties around the metro including the KC Power & Light District, KCK Community College, Dave and Busters in the Legends or Tiffany Athletic Zone Soccer Complex in North Kansas City. Watch parties begin at 5 p.m.

The game starts at 8 p.m. and will air on ESPN2 and will air in more than 100 countries.
