KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police say Cindy was terrorized in June when a man, posing as a police officer, tried to flag her down near 95th and Quivira. The man, later identified as Chadwick Taylor, 47, was in an unmarked truck, in plain clothes and showed Cindy a police badge.

Instead of pulling over, she kept driving. Taylor seemingly became angry and followed her for 10 miles until she pulled into the Overland Park Police Headquarters where Taylor told police he was retired military police.

For weeks Cindy wondered whatever happened to him and if she would run into him again. She said she was surprised she was never notified that Taylor was charged with impersonating a police office.

"I was left to feel, wondering, where is this guy at? Am I going to run into him again?" Cindy said. "So it was comforting to find they had [charged him], but at the same time, I'm a little concerned about the way they handled it."

Taylor was in the military for a short time and was never in the police force.

Taylor will be in court October 21.
