KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It's Red Friday and Kansas City fans are doing their part to show their 2013-2014 Chiefs team that they believe in them.

The home opener is Sunday at noon on FOX 4 when the Chiefs take on the Cowboys at Arrowhead.

Watch: Sunday is Game Day on FOX 4!

Early Friday morning, Chiefs executives, Red Coaters, former players and more than 1,000 volunteers sold Red Friday magazines at a number of local businesses and street corners in the greater Kansas City area. All Kansas City and St. Joseph-area McDonald’s locations were also selling the magazines to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. A donation of $2 was suggested to receive a copy of this year’s Red Friday magazine.

A free event in front of the Sprint Center is expected to attract a good crowd over the lunch hour. The Greatest Show on Earth will entertain with various performers, animals, along with the Chiefs cheerleaders Warpaint the Horse and KC Wolf.

A pep rally in the Power and Light District begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening. Players confirmed to be there (but subject to change!) include: Dustin Colquitt, Ryan Succop, Alex Smith, Dexter McCluster, Brandon Flowers, Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry, Justin Houston, Dwayne Bowe and Dontari Poe.
