12-year-old girl arrested for bullying after victim talks of suicide
STAMFORD, Conn. — A 12-year-old girl was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after she repeatedly bullied a classmate at the private middle school they both attended in Stamford, Conn.
According to the Courant, the investigation began in September when the victim’s parents contacted police, saying another student had been bullying their 13-year-old daughter. School administrators agreed to work with police on the investigation.
After the victim made comments about killing herself, police took action. According to a police statement, authorities found the complaints to be valid and due to the emotional trauma the victim endured, police arrested the 12-year-old to “quell this activity.”
