OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Police are asking the public's help with identifying three women suspected in stealing a woman's wallet at a grocery store in Overland Park, Kan., on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Police said the two women engaged one of the victims, an 83-year-old woman, in a short conversation in the bakery section at a Johnson County Price Chopper.

Marion Ferguson said the women started talking to her about gluten-free birthday cakes. While she was distracted, a third women sneaked up and removed her wallet from her purse, which was sitting in Marion's shopping cart.

When Marion went to pay for her groceries she realized her wallet was missing from her purse. Later, her credit cards were used to make several different purchases totaling over $3,000.

"You have no idea what I've been through," said Marion. "I had to go get a driver's license. They had a key to my front door that had to be changed.

Store surveillance video showed three women entering the store together.  All three suspects left the store parking lot in the same vehicle.
