KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- In today's busy, busy world, how do you find a few moments every day to relax?

New York Times best-selling author and American buddhist Lama Suray Das stopped by Friday's FOX 4 Morning Show to talk to us about what he calls "natural awareness."

Das reminded viewers that in the middle of our busy lives, we can learn to find a few precious moments to simply be present and breathe.

Everyone has this innate capability to simly be present, he explained. We can train ourselves to appreciate and benefit from this natural awareness -- like a doorway to wisdom as it is needed.

Das will be speaking at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at Unity Temple and will also be having a question and answer session following his lecture. He will also be leading an all day retreat from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.

You can find more information on his website.
