Shooting kills one, injures another in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting at 35th and Park in Kansas City, Mo. Police said one person is dead and another was injured.

Police responded to the shooting shortly after 5:30 p.m. and found a man shot and killed on the corner of 35th and Park. Police located the second shooting victim near 36th and Park.

“It appears he ran up to a door, started knocking on a door, saying he had been shot,” Officer Darin Snapp said. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Snapp said witnesses told police they saw a small white vehicle leaving the scene immediately after the shooting, although it’s unclear it if was involved.

“We’d like to talk with them, with that person, if they happen to see this [report] … and to let us know if they were in the area and if they saw anything,” Snapp said.

The victims’ names have not been released at this time.
