KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Many motion pictures will soon be released to theaters for the Christmas season are taking a cue from some hugely popular books.

Many of these films are touting big A-list names and enormous Hollywood budgets.  However, the old adage is that 99 percent of the time, the book is better than the movie any way.

Bob Butler from the Kansas City Library appeared on Tuesday's FOX 4 Morning Show to show us which books to read before the movie versions hit the silver screen.
