POCATELLO, Idaho — A high school basketball coach and substitute teacher in Idaho was reportedly fired over a Facebook photo that shows her fiancé touching her breast.

According to the Huffington Post, both Laraine Cook, 31, and her fiance, Tom Harrison, work at Pocatello High School.  He is the football coach, while she coaches girls’ basketball.

Cook says she was fired for posting the so-called ‘immoral’ photo, but he was only reprimanded because he was not the one to post it.

“He wasn’t flagged for holding,” the Huffington Post wrote tongue-in-cheek.

The photo was taken while they were on vacation in July.

Cook planned to go through the appeal process to restore her job.

The picture is in bad taste but she is clothed . There is no reason for firing her. Also what about the double standard? The other coach should be in trouble as well. It is HIS hand place where it is. A bad move on his part.

Just plain ignorant. She shouldn’t of been fired. She can always come to Leavenworth, KS & get a job. She would be a saint compared to some of the people that are employed for the Leavenworth public school system. The superintendent was arrested for dui, a lunch lady had a utube video out with her slapping her kids around, (all over a peanut butter & jelly sanchwich), & they have no problems with anyone having affairs & ruining marriages.

It used to be that people had enough taste and common courtesy that grabbing a woman’s breast in public would have been a huge show of disrespect at least and would probably have gotten the guy slapped. We used to treat each other a lot better.

This looks like it was not a school function and it dosent look like they were committing a crime. With that said employers should keep there nose out of the personal lives of employees and worry about their own lives. Last time I checked this is America land of the free home of the brave pursuit of happiness and all that good stuff. Sue them and move on.
