The first leg of the Eastern Conference Finals between Sporting Kansas City and the Houston Dynamo ended in a scoreless draw. The second leg will be played November 23 at Sporting Park. The winner of that match will advance to the MLS Cup championship game.

Houston’s best scoring chance occurred in the first half. Oscar Boniek Garcia’s free kick in the 29th minute was curling away from Jimmy Nielsen. But the White Puma made a beautiful diving save. Sporting KC led in shots on goal 15-10, with only three on goal.
