Firefighters battle blazes in KCMO
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Firefighters battled two house fires early Monday morning.
The first fire took place at Minnie and Olive Street in a building with several apartments. A firefighter sustain injuries to his shoulder and was hospitalized but is expected to be okay. Two men in their twenties who lived in separate apartments made it out without injury although their homes were damaged — if not destroyed. The Red Cross is assisting them.
After firefighters left the scene of that fire, they were called to another fire near Benton and Gladstone. The home appeared to be abandoned to FOX 4 crews on the scene, but firefighters would not confirm that. No injuries were reported.
