OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- A long time city worker recently discovered a very valuable envelope outside of a community center in Overland Park.

Danny Forbih has been an employee for the City of Overland Park for over a decade, emptying trash at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center.

On Monday, Forbih said as he was performing his usual duties, when he found a wet envelope on the ground with a card inside, filled with cash.

"A lot of 20 dollar bills and 10 dollar bills, but I wasn't sure how much it was," said Forbih of the envelope.

The envelope contained $120 in cash, and after making the discovery, Forbih did not hesitate to hand it over to the center’s director.

The good Samaritan soon learned Judy Snoderly's daughter had lost her cash-filled card during her baby shower at the center on Sunday.

"I'm glad she was happy. I wanted her to get her money back," Forbih said about returning the lost money. "If I lost mine, I would want somebody to give it back to me. So I wouldn't keep somebody's money."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you. What a great person he is and I’m so happy he did the right thing!” Snoderly exclaimed in regards to Forbih’s actions.
