This time, the dog really did eat her homework

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — One of the oldest excuses in the book rang true for a student’s eighth-grade science project. Affiliate KDVR reports that a family dog named Reggie couldn’t resist the project fashioned as a chocolate volcano…that also had candy attached to it with sharp metal pins.

A veterinarian was able to remove the pins using magnets and a surgical procedure. The student, Payton, whose science project was ruined was able to produce X-rays that proved Reggie had destroyed the volcano.
